Living Routes

Community

The Living Routes is a study abroad program focused on ecovillages. In Brazil the program happens at the Ecocentre IPEC, the pioneer center of sustainability in South America. Where students in a community based area learn about sustainable living, Permacultura design, natural construction and much more.   “The course offers a unique opportunity for students to gain environmental and international experience and the inspiration to adapt appropriate technologies and sustainable agriculture techniques to their own climates and cultures. Students receive four transferable college credits in one of the best places to study permaculture and sustainability in Latin America. Students who complete the program become Certified Permaculture Apprentices, able to receive a Diploma of Permaculture Design after 2 years of applied work.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgwp5Be2lR0&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSjbNtuLJdI&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HS7vPirWyj0&feature=channel_video_title   Student’s Blog http://blogs.livingroutes.org/brazil-2011/
