HOW TO GET HERE
BY PLANE
Pirenópolis is situated in the state of Goias. You are encouraged to fly into Sao Paulo and then catch an internal flight to Brasilia, the capital of Brazil. If you plan to travel further within Brazil, you might consider purchasing a flight pass, which allows you to take 3 to 5 internal flights. The Brazilian Flight Pass can only be purchased outside of Brazil. Please contact your travel agent for prices and schedules.
Pirenópolis is an easy two hours drive by car from Brasilia. Otherwise, buses run daily from Brasilia to Pirenópolis. Arriving at the airport take a taxi to the Rodoferoviaria. From the Rodoferoviaria connect with Santo Antonio Bus Company or Goianesa. Buy a ticket directly to Pirenópolis (US$5). This trip takes about 3 hours. |

BY BUS
Taking a bus to Pirenopolis is relatively easy, although not direct. You must take a bus either to Anapolis, Goiania or Brasilia. Most major bus companies go direct from Sao Paulo, and directly or indirectly from many other cities. Then catch a state bus to Pirenopolis. These run daily and are safe.
Pirenópolis is 70 km from Anápolis, 128 km from Goiânia and 165 km from Brasília.
As Brazil is a huge country, distances from Pirenopolis to major cities are immense:it's approximately 2128 km to Belém, 1028 km to Belo Horizonte, 2748 km to Fortaleza, 3365 km to Manaus, 2532 km to Recife, 1468 km to Rio, 1858 km to Salvador and 1028 km to São Paulo. Please take this into consideration if planning to come before traveling around the rest of the Brazil.
